Tui Na is a form of remedial massage that has been practiced in China for thousands of years and can be used to treat people of all ages, ranging from infants to the elderly. It applies massage techniques including; sliding, tapping, kneading, vibrating, rolling, pressing and shaking, along the body and specific acupressure points to restore the harmonious flow of Qi (chee) and blood throughout the channels and muscles in order to remove blockages, alleviate pain and promote healing. Tui Na massage and Acupuncture can treat both acute and chronic conditions and is beneficial to reduce joint and musculoskeletal pain. It is an effective treatment for disorders such as headaches, arthritis, sciatica, tennis or golfers elbow, neck and shoulder pain and hip or lower back pain.
